Job summary

Pointpark is seeking a Stationary Engineer to operate, maintain, and repair HVAC/R systems across its campus. You will supervise preventative maintenance, respond to building service calls, and ensure safety and energy efficiency for a multi-building educational complex.

The role requires a vocational or college program, at least five years of large-building maintenance experience, and a City of Pittsburgh Stationary Engineers license. Overtime is required as needed.

Qualifications

• College or trade program or approved apprenticeship in stationary/building engineering.
• Minimum five years in large educational or commercial maintenance with HVAC/R focus.
• Familiar with building automation and temperature control systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, repair, and recalibrate HVAC/R equipment to keep comfort and energy efficiency.
• Inspect and repair building components including windows, roofs, electrical systems and lighting.
• Maintain an operator's logbook with equipment data and fuel use.
• Diagnose problems with minimal supervision using reports and drawings.
• Coordinate with other trades and assist security teams as required.
