Job summary

Veolia in North America is seeking a qualified Stationary Engineer to provide operations and maintenance for building systems under the Local 39 agreement. The role focuses on boilers, pumps, HVAC, electrical systems, and data-center components, ensuring continuous and safe facility operation.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, a Local 39 Apprenticeship, and at least five years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Local 39 Apprenticeship preferred.
• Minimum of five years of experience in related duties.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair boilers, pumps, and valves used in steam distribution.
• Maintain HVAC, electrical systems, and data-center related equipment (PDUs, CRAC units, UPS, generators).
• Repair and maintain refrigerant systems, chillers, and related components.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical motors and engine-driven equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and building automation system tasks for HVAC and fire safety systems.
• Follow safety protocols; work in a union environment under L39 agreement.
