Job summary

ENFRA Solutions in Baton Rouge, LA, seeks a Tax Director to lead state and local tax strategy, planning, and compliance for the enterprise. You will oversee multi-state sales/use, franchise, gross receipts, and property tax processes, and advise on tax implications for new initiatives.

The ideal candidate holds a CPA with a Master's in accounting/finance, 10+ years of tax experience, and proven leadership. You will coordinate audits, manage year-end tax activities, and drive process improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related area.
• CPA is required.
• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong state and local tax knowledge and experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent interpersonal and team skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and deliver in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead accurate and timely preparation and filing of multi-state sales/use, franchise, gross receipts, and property tax returns.
• Oversee state and local tax liability calculations and reporting for GAAP.
• Stay current on changes in state and local tax laws and regulations.
• Conduct tax planning, compliance, and consulting for corporate operations.
• Research state and local indirect tax issues and invoicing requirements.
• Prepare detailed written tax guidance for internal teams and educate on tax issues.
• Coordinate with external tax team on year-end income tax preparation and apportionment.
• Lead preparation and filing of annual 1099s and assist with audits.
• Drive tax department projects and process improvements, including automation.
• Manage business license renewals and unclaimed property reporting.
