Job summary

Dana Incorporated in Ohio seeks a commodity manager to direct SCMG global spend for a designated category. You will identify North American opportunities to reduce spend, consolidate processes, and ensure supply continuity.

You will manage Dana contracts, report metrics, and deliver continuous improvement through RFIs, RFQs, and TCO-based recommendations. You will formulate annual cost-reduction plans, analyze quotes, and drive sourcing solutions with suppliers across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Four year degree in Business (Supply Chain Management or Purchasing) or Engineering.
• Professional Supply chain certification preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in procurement, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Formulate annual business plans for achievement of cost reductions and year over year performance improvement.
• Obtain and analyze quotes to determine best value, then recommend global sourcing solutions based on data.
• Follow a commodity strategy, leverage suppliers, and drive benefits from key suppliers.
• Prepare RFQs and consolidate responses with understanding of RFQ elements.
• Layout milestones and track progress; support technical review and APQP processes.
• Communicate supplier viewpoints to internal stakeholders clearly.
• Support negotiations with data and facts.
• Understand RFQ processes and contract basics; manage IP, NDAs, and confidentiality.
• Monitor supplier performance (Supplier Scorecard) and assist development where needed.
• Adhere to purchasing processes and take responsibility for compliance.
• Understand Benchmarking, VA/VE, Lean, Outsourcing; engage with other departments.
