Job summary

Palo Alto Networks is seeking a talented Sr Staff Software Engineer to join our CPQ team. You will build scalable web applications, work with product managers, UX designers, and backend engineers to translate complex ideas into seamless user experiences.

As a Sr Staff Engineer, you’ll drive architecture, apply first-principles thinking, and lead technical design reviews while mentoring engineers. The role is in-office at our HQ in Santa Clara, CA, three days per week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required for senior engineering roles.
• Proven ability to design and develop scalable web apps with microservices.
• Deep hands-on experience with a modern UI framework (React/Vue/Angular).
• Experience with state management tools (Redux, Context API, Zustand, Pinia).
• Experience with design tools like Figma/Sketch/Adobe XD.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain scalable UI using modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.
• Contribute to internal Design System and reusable components.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize load times.
• Lead technical design reviews and mentor engineers.
• Understand prompt engineering and LLM security practices.
