Job summary

Blue Current is seeking a hands-on Staff Technician to lead daily operations on its solid-state battery pilot manufacturing line in Hayward, CA. You will execute fabrication steps, operate equipment, and ensure safe, efficient lab operations in a fast-paced development setting.

You will independently run complex equipment, troubleshoot issues, and support cross-functional teams as we scale toward commercial production. A strong background in materials science or chemistry is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent hands‑on training/experience.
• 4+ years of hands‑on experience in a technical, lab, or precision manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead production of advanced battery components, cell builds, and test-ready assemblies.
• Operate, optimize, and troubleshoot glovebox and pilot-scale manufacturing equipment.
• Develop, refine, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing processes.
• Mentor junior technicians and coordinate with cross-functional teams across shifts.
