Job summary

LevelUP HCS is seeking a Sr. Staff Technical Architect to lead the technical architecture and long-term evolution of enterprise Supply Chain platforms.

This senior IC will define architectural strategy across engineering teams, partnering with Product, Engineering, and business leaders. The role emphasizes cloud-native, distributed system design across inventory, fulfillment, warehouse, logistics, and order management, with governance and modernization at scale.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience building enterprise applications.
• 5+ years leading architecture for large-scale distributed software platforms.
• Proven experience designing and delivering cloud-native applications on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong experience architecting microservices-based and event-driven systems.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, API design, messaging patterns, scalability, resiliency, and high-availability architectures.
• Hands-on experience with modern engineering practices including REST APIs, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.), Docker and Kubernetes, Git-based development workflows, automated testing, observability and monitoring, and DevSecOps.
• Experience partnering with multiple engineering organizations while driving architecture decisions across complex enterprise environments.
• Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to influence engineering leadership and executive stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the architectural vision and technical roadmap for enterprise Supply Chain platforms.
• Design scalable, resilient, cloud-native solutions supporting warehouse management, fulfillment, inventory, logistics, and order management capabilities.
• Lead architecture across multiple engineering teams while ensuring alignment with enterprise technology strategy.
• Design distributed systems utilizing microservices, event-driven architectures, APIs, and asynchronous messaging patterns.
• Partner with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, Technical Leads, and Principal Engineers to translate business capabilities into scalable technical solutions.
• Drive architecture reviews, technology evaluations, and technical governance while balancing scalability, security, reliability, and maintainability.
• Identify technical debt, platform risks, and modernization opportunities across the Supply Chain ecosystem.
• Champion engineering excellence through modern software development practices including CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automated testing, observability, and DevSecOps.
• Mentor senior engineers and technical leads while helping establish architecture standards and engineering best practices across the organization.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption where they create measurable business value.

We are seeking a Sr. Staff Technical Architect to lead the technical architecture and long-term evolution of enterprise Supply Chain platforms. This is a senior individual contributor role responsible for defining architectural strategy across multiple engineering teams while partnering closely with Product, Engineering, and business leaders.

This is a senior individual contributor role responsible for defining architectural strategy across multiple engineering teams while partnering closely with Product, Engineering, and business leaders.

This role is ideal for someone who has grown from a Senior Software Engineer or Principal Engineer into an architecture leadership role, bringing deep experience designing cloud-native, distributed systems at enterprise scale.

You will help shape the future of enterprise Supply Chain technology, including inventory, fulfillment, warehouse, logistics, and order management capabilities. You'll influence architecture across multiple teams, establish engineering standards, mentor technical leaders, and drive adoption of modern software engineering practices.

This position reports to the Sr. Principal Technical Architect supporting Supply Chain Technology.
