Job summary

SciTec, a defense contractor in Colorado, seeks a Staff or Senior Staff Systems Engineer to support integration and certification of software for defense applications. You will perform requirements derivation, MBSE modeling, and verification planning in an Agile team of Scientists, Engineers, and Developers.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in systems engineering, strong technical communication, and the ability to obtain a DoD SECRET clearance for on-site work in Boulder.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physical Sciences, or a related technical field.
• 2+ years of professional experience in systems engineering.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex technical information.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability and willingness to work on site in Boulder, Colorado.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET security clearance

Responsibilities

• Perform requirements derivation, decomposition, allocation, and traceability
• Support internal and external testing to verify system and software conformance to applicable standards
• Lead development of software verification test planning to support certification and evaluation for operational use
• Maintain MBSE model of system architectures
• Collaborate with SciTec staff in systems engineering processes, methods, and best practices
• Develop and maintain systems engineering artifacts, including requirements documents, architecture descriptions, certification evidence, and other program documentation as required
• Communicate technical concepts clearly through written documentation and verbal briefings
• Lead the effort to develop integrated testing architectures and processes
• Perform other duties as assigned
