Job summary

Becton, Dickinson, and Company (BD) seeks a Senior Staff Systems Engineer in Durham, NC, to ensure system-level performance for electromechanical or robotic systems. You will translate customer needs into requirements and lead cross-functional teams across design, software, and manufacturing to deliver robust solutions.

The role requires extensive DFSS knowledge, strong systems engineering experience, and the ability to drive verification, validation, and project execution across a portfolio.

Qualifications

• Six years of progressive engineering experience in electromechanical or robotic systems.
• Experience translating customer needs into system requirements and performing DFSS.
• Strong collaboration with hardware, software, and other functions.
• Experience with R&D to manufacturing transitions and system troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and execution of technical projects across multiple product portfolios.
• Translate voice of customer into system and product requirements.
• Aid in product verification and validation.
• Support beta launches at early-adopter sites.
