Job summary

Fivetran in Oakland, CA is seeking a high-performance Site Reliability Engineer to own the reliability and performance of our production infrastructure and deployment pipelines.

You will work with engineering, product, and security teams to lead incident response, capacity planning, and automation across AWS, Azure, GCP, Terraform, and Kubernetes in a hybrid office model two days per week. This is a full-time role with strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role.
• Proficient in Python and Linux system internals.
• Experience with cloud platforms and IaC tools.
• Strong incident response and disaster recovery experience.
• Experience with PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

• Maintain reliability and performance of production infrastructure.
• Evolve systems by adding reliability into the product roadmap.
• Coordinate re-prioritization or fix of critical bugs for support or sales.
• Interface with engineering to ensure 100% availability.
• Automate deployments across environments.
• Monitor vulnerabilities with security team.
• Work with Kubernetes and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Manage PostgreSQL and related databases.
