Job summary

Airbnb is seeking a senior technical individual contributor to join the Guest & Host team's Communication and Connectivity scope. You will be hands-on and contribute code while partnering with senior leaders across the broader technical organization.

You will design and build scalable back-end architectures, apply modern AI technologies to products, mentor engineers, and drive high-quality delivery, collaborating with Product and Data Science teams to impact millions of hosts and guests.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in a fast-paced, high-growth tech environment.
• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience building, leading, and architecting full-stack products and systems at enterprise scale.
• Experience in applying modern AI technologies to products and development cycles.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to envision a scalable guest-host communication experience.
• Envision and build a scalable foundation for reaching out hosts via notifications.
• Explore ways to uplift partner integration platforms leveraging AI technologies.
• Understand how technical decisions impact business outcomes and deliver high-quality frameworks.
• Perform design and code reviews and mentor other engineers.
