Job summary

Pinterest is seeking a Staff/Senior Staff Engineer for the Notifications & Growth Platform to shape long-range technical visions and roadmaps across multi-channel delivery (push, email, in-app) in global markets.

You will lead cross-functional delivery with Product, Data Science, Design, and engineering teams, define success metrics, and drive architectural decisions to improve reliability, scalability, and user growth, including AI/GenAI-enabled capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience leading architecture across multiple services/teams.
• Experience with ML/GenAI-adjacent systems or AI projects.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Shape the technical vision and multi-year roadmap for Notifications & Growth Platform.
• Lead cross-functional delivery with Product, Design and Data Science teams to ship multi-channel notifications.
• Make durable architectural decisions to improve reliability and scalability.
• Define success metrics and operating cadence aligned to org OKRs.
• Apply AI/GenAI to accelerate exploration, drafting, and synthesis with rigorous validation.

Job description

• The Notifications & Growth Platform org builds the systems that power user communication and product-led growth across Pinterest. Our platforms enable product teams to reach users with the right message at the right time across channels (push, email, in-app, etc.) safely and at scale
• Shape the technical vision and multi-year roadmap for the Notifications & Growth Platform org, aligning architecture and execution plans to Pinterest's engagement and retention goals
• Lead cross-functional delivery of end-to-end solutions by partnering with Product, Data Science, Design, and engineering teams to ship notifications, in-app growth experiences, and internationalized (i18n) experiences for global markets
• Make durable architectural decisions that improve delivery quality, reliability, and scalability of Pinterest's notifications and growth systems (e.g., orchestration, targeting hooks, scheduling, and multi-channel delivery)
• Define success metrics and operating cadence (e.g., engagement lift, delivery success, latency, reliability, cost, adoption) and drive measurable improvements aligned to org OKRs
• Use AI to accelerate your work across exploration, drafting, analysis, and synthesis - while maintaining strong judgment, rigorous validation, and accountability for outcomes
