About The Role
We’re looking for a highly product‑driven, execution‑oriented Software Engineer to define and own the technical vision for our marketplace and provider experience systems. As a senior leader on the Match Success team, you’ll build end‑to‑end full‑stack systems, workflows, and intelligence that enable clients and providers to connect seamlessly and form durable care relationships. The role is at the intersection of product, engineering, provider success, and quality – driving technical strategy, clarifying ambiguity, and scaling a high‑performance engineering culture with a founder’s mindset.
Responsibilities
- Define and own the long‑term technical vision for core marketplace, scheduling, booking, and provider operations systems.
- Architect scalable full‑stack systems that support high‑volume matching, transactions, availability management, and operational workflows.
- Design and evolve matching, search, and personalization capabilities, including semantic search, recommendation systems, and applied AI patterns.
- Continuously improve key marketplace flows such as appointment management, provider discovery, cancellation handling, and practice setup.
- Develop operational frameworks for planning, prioritization, incident management, and delivery excellence.
- Use data deeply by instrumenting systems, measuring impact, and optimizing marketplace performance and provider‑client matching success.
- Lead and mentor a high‑performance engineering team, raising the bar for technical execution, communication, and problem‑solving.
- Create documentation, playbooks, and architectural guardrails to ensure consistency, quality, and efficiency across the engineering lifecycle.
- Advocate for client and provider experience needs, translating insights into technical investments and roadmap priorities.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 2+ years leading teams or technical initiatives.
- At least 2 years building full‑stack systems at scale, ideally in high‑throughput or marketplace environments.
- Experience with peer‑to‑peer or multi‑sided marketplaces (matching, ranking, pricing, fraud, fulfillment, or similar domains).
- Demonstrated strength in product engineering, deeply understanding user needs and shaping delightful, high‑quality experiences.
- Strong architectural and technical sense—able to define a vision, influence direction, and drive execution.
- Proven ability to deliver complex, ambiguous projects that span multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Highly data‑driven mindset, comfortable with experimentation, measurement, and optimization.
- Exceptional communication and cross‑functional leadership, including influencing non‑technical stakeholders.
- A track record of mentoring engineers and building high‑performance environments.
- Founder’s mindset—ownership, speed, scrappiness, resilience, and bias toward action.
- Clear frameworks and philosophies for technical leadership, force multiplication, and scalable execution.
