As a Sr Staff Software Engineer, you will- Lead the design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient full-stack applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Identify and address bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate these issues.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver comprehensive solutions.
- Implement and manage testing processes to ensure the quality and reliability of the applications.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends and apply them to operations and activities.
Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent education or work experience.
- At least 12+ years of experience in software engineering, with demonstrated success delivering enterprise-scale solutions.
- Mastery in modern languages such as Java, Springboot, JavaScript, Python, .NET, C++
- Fluency and specialization with technologies such as Angular, Kafka, NoSQL, and Relational Databases, OpenShift, RabbitMQ, and Grafana.
- Familiarity with cloud services.
- Experience building the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems.
- Experience with continuous delivery and infrastructure as code.
- Experience with application monitoring tools and performance assessments.
- In-depth knowledge of CS data structures and algorithms.
- Strong problem-solving ability.
- Knowledge of developer tooling across the software development life cycle (task management, source code, building, deployment, operations, real-time communication).
- Experience in testing methodologies using frameworks such as BDD.
- Experience with Edge-based architecture solutions in a mobile, industrial environment, considering factors such as vibration, intermittent connectivity, and extreme temperatures.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience in Rail, Shipping, Airline, Logistics, Warehousing, Supply Chain, or other Transportation industries, or experience in a High-Tech industry.
- Experience leveraging best-in-class security practices and protocols, event-driven and microservices architecture patterns, etc.
- Experience with open-source libraries and frameworks.
- Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
- Proven ability to debug, analyze, and resolve performance bottlenecks in complex applications.
- Familiarity with hardware and network configuration processes such as firewalls, network monitoring, and cloud data management.
