Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer to join the Blockchain Platform team. You will define the technical vision for infrastructure powering Coinbase products across 60+ blockchain networks and 300+ tokens, including nodes, indexers, wallets, and orchestration systems.

You will lead cross-team architectural initiatives, set security and reliability standards, and drive data-driven improvements using observability signals.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience at senior levels.
• Deep experience with Ethereum/EVM or other blockchain protocols.
• Proven track record leading multi-team architecture at global scale.
• Experience applying AI/automation to reduce toil and improve reliability.
• Commitment to responsible use of AI with human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive multi-quarter technical strategy for Blockchain Platform.
• Architect and evolve core platform infrastructure across nodes, wallets, indexing.
• Lead end-to-end design of large cross-team architectural initiatives.
• Drive engineering standards for security, testing, and observability.
• Represent Blockchain Platform in executive and cross-org forums.
