Job summary

Manifest OS is seeking a Software Engineer to own the development of secure client portals and enterprise-grade systems, from architecture to production. You will work across frontend, product engineering, agent platform, and core infrastructure in a fast-paced, ownership-driven environment.

The role is on-site at our NYC office five days a week, with a focus on building AI-native legal tech platforms that scale across clients and cases.

Qualifications

Over 10 years of production software experience across backend, frontend, or ML/AI systems.
Proven track record shipping features with measurable business impact.
Strong relational database design and data modeling experience.
Experience deploying and operating services on a major cloud platform (e.g., GCP).
Fluent with AI coding tools as part of daily workflow.
Ability to self-teach and ship in unfamiliar systems.
Strong systems thinking from database to API to product surface.
Familiarity with TypeScript, React, GCP, PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end features across the platform, including client portals and case management.
Design production-grade APIs and data models with robust permissions.
Develop frontend architecture and define UI-backend contracts.
Build and operate core backend services on cloud infrastructure.
Contribute to eval systems, retrieval, and agent orchestration as needed.
