Job Title: Senior Staff Software Engineer

We're looking for a Senior Staff Software Engineer to lead the development of a new application running on a scalable, high-performance Java platform. This role is ideal for an expert Java engineer with deep knowledge of concurrent programming, Jetty, and experience building real-time, high-volume systems.

Responsibilities:

1. Build or re-architect backend services using Java and embedded Jetty for ultra-low-latency performance.
2. Ensure multi-threaded, high-concurrency applications scale to support massive data ingestion and processing requirements.
3. Lead code reviews, mentor engineers, and influence technical roadmap and architectural decisions.
4. Collaborate with product and platform teams to deliver resilient, secure, and observable services and applications.
5. Integrate open source and open standards reducing internal code generations and reaping the benefits of the open-source community.

Qualifications:

1. 10+ years professional experience in Java backend development
2. Proven expertise in multithreaded programming
3. Deep experience with Jetty or similar embedded web servers (e.g., Undertow, Netty)
4. Strong understanding of systems design, high-throughput messaging, and I/O performance tuning
5. Proven experience in high performance, throughput systems
6. Solid grasp of JVM internals, memory management, and profiling tools

Nice to Have:

1. SNMP, NetFlow, API Frameworks
2. OpenTelemetry and Network Monitoring
3. Data experience with Clickhouse and MongoDB
