Vibehackers is hiring a Senior Staff Software Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable distributed software and data platforms for clinicians and hospital operations. You will lead architecture, mentor staff, and drive DevOps/CI-CD initiatives across ITG Accelerated Technologies and DT&I.

The role demands 7+ years of software experience, proficiency in ReactJS/Node.js/Vue.js/NestJS/TypeScript/Python, strong SQL, and cloud/GCP expertise. Experience with AI-assisted tooling is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (Master’s preferred).
• 7+ years relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in ReactJS, Node.js, Vue.js, NestJS, TypeScript, or Python.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Experience with cloud development, especially GCP.
• Experience with data engineering and ML feature engineering.
• Knowledge of streaming/event-driven architectures and REST API design.
• Git and CI/CD discipline.
• Experience with container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Cloud Run).
• Familiarity with AI-assisted tooling (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Lovable.dev, v0.dev, bolt.new).

Senior Staff Software Engineer in ITG Accelerated Technologies (AT) and DT&I focused on designing, constructing, and implementing scalable, distributed software and data products that support clinicians and hospital operations. Acts as a technical expert, leads design and implementation, provides production support, mentors engineers, and partners across the organization on architecture and vendor/contract activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Rapidly learn, maintain, and pragmatically improve existing solutions and design new systems.
• Provide production problem resolution and after-hours/on-call support as needed.
• Gather requirements, validate feasibility, and contribute to solution design and integrations.
• Design scalable distributed systems and clearly communicate architecture (C4 model).
• Produce high-quality, modular, reusable code and set engineering standards.
• Design and execute DevOps strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment frameworks.
• Create system design documentation (Use Cases, Architecture Docs, Service Mapping, Consumer Guides) and SLAs/supplementary specifications.
• Lead troubleshooting, mentor team members, direct programming assignments, and participate in hiring and performance evaluation.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects on technology evaluation and with managers on contract/vendor relations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (Master’s preferred).
• 7+ years relevant work experience.
• Strong application development skills using ReactJS, Node.js, Vue.js, NestJS, TypeScript, or Python.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with cloud development technologies, especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP) preferred.
• Experience with data engineering: ingesting, transforming, and feature engineering for data science/ML.
• Deep understanding of streaming/event-driven architectures and REST API design.
• Experience with distributed version control (Git) and data acquisition/cleansing.
• Strong DevOps experience and familiarity with container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Cloud Run).
• Experience with container monitoring and observability tools (Cloud Monitoring, SysDig, Data Dog, AppDynamics, New Relic, Nagios, Zabbix).
• Linux command line skills.
• Familiarity with Scrum/Agile, Lean Product Development, and Domain Driven Design.
• Experience with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
• Excellent written and verbal communication, troubleshooting, mentoring, and leadership skills.
• Experience with AI-assisted tooling (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Lovable.dev, v0.dev, bolt.new) is required.

Preferred / Nice-to-have

• Extensive experience designing enterprise-level system documentation and SLAs.
• Prior experience in mentoring, team leadership, and vendor/contract negotiation.
