Job summary

SciTec, a Firefly Aerospace Company, in Boulder, CO, seeks talented software and algorithm developers to help advance remote sensing data exploitation through fast, reliable software in Python and C++. You will collaborate with scientists and engineers in a small-team, Agile environment to prototype and integrate cutting-edge algorithms for government programs.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree, 5+ years in tech, 2+ years in C++/Python, Linux fluency, and a willingness to work on-site in

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in physical sciences, mathematics, engineering, or computer science.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in technology fields.
• Experience with state estimation, tracking, or GNC.
• At least 2 years in C++ and Python.
• Fluency with Linux operating systems.
• Ability to work full-time in-person in Boulder, CO office location.
• Detail oriented.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Research new algorithms and analysis techniques for remote sensor data exploitation.
• Demonstrate fluent, idiomatic mastery of Python and/or C++; comfort with software design and architecture.
• Develop and tune Kalman filtering, tracking, and data exploitation algorithms in Python and C++.
• Characterize quality/performance of algorithms and sensor systems.
• Work as part of an Agile team and contribute to shared tools.
• Other duties as assigned.
