Ripple is seeking a Senior Staff Security Engineer to elevate product and infrastructure security across Treasury. Lead threat modeling, secure SDLC, and cloud security architecture for Azure and AWS, with a focus on scalable, automated defenses.

You will partner with Treasury Product and Engineering teams, mentor engineers, and drive security from design through deployment in a FinTech environment. This role is based in Illinois with competitive equity and salary.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Security Engineering experience including product and infrastructure security.
• Threat modeling using STRIDE or equivalent; security architecture reviews.
• Strong cloud security experience across Azure, AWS, and/or GCP with IAM, network, and container security.

Responsibilities

• Own security posture for Ripple Treasury solution and infrastructure from assessment to remediation.
• Lead threat modeling and security architecture reviews across Treasury offerings.
• Own secure SDLC for your product surface, define guardrails and CI/CD integrations.
• Drive cloud security architecture for Treasury across Azure and AWS; implement zero trust and Kubernetes policies.
• Partner with GRC to meet SOC 2, ISO 27001 and regulatory requirements.
• Own vulnerability discovery and remediation with guidance toward automation and self-service.
• Build and scale Security Champions within Treasury Engineering.
• Mentor Security Engineers and lead threat model walkthroughs and design reviews.
• Stay ahead of FinTech crypto threat landscape and translate into defensive improvements.
