Job summary

Ripple is seeking a Senior Staff Security Engineer to join our Treasury security team. You will shape the security direction for product and infrastructure, drive threat modeling, and own the secure software delivery lifecycle across Azure and AWS.

You will mentor security engineers, partner with engineering leaders, and advance security controls with a bias toward automation. Our team values hands-on, near-the-work collaboration and impact across a fast-paced crypto fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Security engineering experience including application security and infrastructure security.
• Threat modeling using STRIDE or equivalent and security architecture reviews.
• Deep expertise securing cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) covering IAM, network security, and container security.
• Hands-on DevSecOps tooling: static/dynamic analysis, SCA, secrets scanning, container scanning, CI/CD security integration.

Responsibilities

• Own security posture for Treasury solution and infrastructure from assessment to remediation.
• Lead threat modeling and security architecture reviews across Treasury offerings.
• Define secure SDLC and CI/CD guardrails with developer guidance for secure-by-default practices.
• Drive cloud security architecture across Azure and AWS, including IAM, network segmentation, encryption, and zero-trust controls.
• Partner with GRC to ensure compliance with SOC 2, ISO 27001, and applicable financial regulations.
• Lead vulnerability discovery and triage, driving remediation and automation.
