Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) in Portland is seeking a Staff Scientist to serve as the senior scientific and operational lead for a multidisciplinary preclinical cancer research laboratory focused on central nervous system tumors, tumor biology, and therapeutic resistance.

Under the PI's direction, you will design rigorous experimental plans, stay hands-on in bench and animal studies, and provide day-to-day scientific leadership, troubleshooting, and training to lab personnel.

Competenze

PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in cancer biology, neuroscience or related field.
Minimum of 7 years postdoctoral/post-PhD experience or equivalent.
Demonstrated peer-reviewed publication record in cancer or related biomedical research.
Hands-on experience designing and executing complex preclinical experiments and in vivo models.
Experience with rodent procedures, survival surgery, cell culture, histology, and molecular assays.
Knowledge of IVIS or similar small-animal imaging platforms and data analysis.
Experience with IACUC compliance, lab records, data QC, and reproducibility.
