The OHSU Knight Cancer Institute invites applications for a Senior Research Assistant to join a collaborative project team focused on drug development in Portland, OR. You will support laboratory research, design experiments, and take independent responsibility for studies, working both independently and in highly collaborative teams.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Experience with molecular biology techniques such as sample processing, cell culture, flow cytometry, DNA purification for mammalian cell cultures, PCR, gel electrophoresis, plate readers, western blot.
• Ability to operate complex scientific equipment and troubleshoot protocols.
• Strong organization and communication skills; ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct molecular, cellular, and animal-based research experiments with minimal supervision.
• Manage mouse colonies, including breeding, genotyping, recordkeeping, and procedures.
• Coordinate multiple research projects; support study planning, documentation, and publication efforts.
• Train staff and collaborate with internal partners, including Animal Research Core.
• Develop research methods and maintain laboratory operations; organize samples and datasets.
• Ensure laboratory organization and compliance.
