Job summary

Williams seeks a Senior/Staff Project Engineer in Power & Automation to lead complex engineering projects and optimize critical infrastructure. You will drive reliability, mentor engineers, and influence long-term strategies across facilities and automation systems.

Ideal candidates bring ABET-accredited engineering degrees with extensive experience in natural gas, data centers, or related industries, plus a PE license and Master’s degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Staff: Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited college or university and 12–15 years engineering experience in natural gas, data centers or related industry.
• Senior: Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited college or university and 8 years engineering experience in natural gas, data centers or related industry.
• PE License preferred
• Master’s degree in engineering preferred
• Operational Power Plant experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform and lead complex engineering work across a range of disciplines and operational environments.
• Support the evaluation, design, construction, and optimization of new and existing facilities and systems.
• Analyze equipment and system performance; identify and implement reliability and efficiency improvements.
• Support Power & Automation initiatives, including system performance, maintenance strategies, and integration of automation tools.
• Develop and maintain engineering standards, processes, and best practices with a focus on safety and compliance.
• Interpret business and operational needs; recommend solutions that improve performance, cost efficiency, and reliability.
• Lead or contribute to projects of increasing scope and complexity (Staff level: lead large-scale, high-impact initiatives).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions aligned with business goals.
