Job summary

KIHOMAC in Utah is seeking a Lead Program Manager to direct its largest and most complex engineering and manufacturing program for a government customer. You will coordinate with the Government program office, manage deliverables, schedules, and execution across multiple sub-projects, reporting to senior leadership.

The role requires a Master's degree, 20+ years of PM experience in government or industry, and eligibility for a security clearance; a DAU/PM certification or PMP is preferred.

  • Manage complete program management organization, including engineering, technicians, finance, contracting, purchasing, and associated functions.
  • Develop and implement program plans, budgeting positions, schedules, and execution strategy.
  • Mentor lower-level Program Managers and support proposal and pricing efforts as needed.

  • Communicate with Government program office, coordinate and manage deliverables and progress for a major weapon system program with high visibility
  • Work directly with company senior leadership on program execution * Manage highly complex program with multiple sub-programs and program managers
  • Manage complete program management organization, including engineering, technicians, finance, contracting, purchasing, and associated functions
  • Develop and implement program plans, budgeting positions, schedules, and execution strategy
  • Perform specific, routine program or technical tasks within defined scope of management responsibility
  • Perform program/technical management for assigned system(s)
  • Interpret and apply acquisition policy; develop recommendations to senior leadership on program and business development strategies
  • Apply and correlate knowledge of multiple disciplines (engineering, logistics, financial management, contracting, and configuration management) to achieve cohesive program execution in accordance with assigned cost, schedule & performance requirements
  • Logically and systematically convert customer or product/technical requirements into solutions that recognize technical, schedule, and cost constraints; identify associated risks and manage mitigation plans
  • Provide higher management with status and decision information on key program issues
  • Ensure contractual needs/concerns are addressed
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of all reports/deliverables
  • Participate in company program reviews
  • Communicate cost, schedule, and performance with management
  • Provide necessary solutions across the spectrum of program management and business operations; mentor lower-level Program Managers
  • Support proposal and pricing efforts as required; may perform Capture Manager duties
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Requirements Education/Training: * Master's Degree in technical, business, or related field required
  • Department of Defense Acquisition (DAU) PM certification, PMP, or degree in Program Management or equivalent is preferred Experience: * 20+ years of Program Management or associated experience with Government or Industry
  • Must be highly knowledgeable in advanced program management concepts, able to develop, communicate and execute a complete program baseline
  • Must be comfortable developing presentations and briefing senior military leaders.
  • Experience with Air Force nuclear enterprise, aircraft sustainment, and/or maintenance repair and overhaul programs a plus
  • Security: * Must be a US citizen
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance will be required
  • Active Secret clearance preferred
