Job summary

KIHOMAC is seeking a seasoned Program Manager to lead its largest and most complex engineering and manufacturing program in the Utah area. The role involves direct interaction with government program offices, coordinating deliverables, and reporting progress for a high-visibility weapon system program.

The position requires 20+ years in program management with government or industry experience, strong ability to develop and execute baselines, and comfort presenting to senior military leaders.

Qualifications

  • 20+ years of Program Management or associated experience with Government or Industry.
  • Must be highly knowledgeable in advanced program management concepts and able to develop, communicate and execute a complete program baseline.
  • Experience briefing senior military leaders.
  • Experience with Air Force nuclear enterprise, aircraft sustainment, and/or maintenance repair and overhaul programs is a plus.
  • Must be a US citizen; ability to obtain a security clearance required; active Secret clearance preferred.

  • Support proposal and pricing efforts as required; may perform Capture Manager duties.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the lead program manager for the company’s largest and most complex engineering and manufacturing program
  • Communicate with Government program office, coordinate and manage deliverables and progress for a major weapon system program with high visibility
  • Work directly with company senior leadership on program execution
  • Manage highly complex program with multiple sub-programs and program managers
  • Manage complete program management organization, including engineering, technicians, finance, contracting, purchasing, and associated functions
  • Develop and implement program plans, budgeting positions, schedules, and execution strategy
  • Perform specific, routine program or technical tasks within defined scope of management responsibility
  • Perform program/technical management for assigned system(s)
  • Interpret and apply acquisition policy; develop recommendations to senior leadership on program and business development strategies
  • Apply and correlate knowledge of multiple disciplines (engineering, logistics, financial management, contracting, and configuration management) to achieve cohesive program execution in accordance with assigned cost, schedule & performance requirements
  • Logically and systematically convert customer or product/technical requirements into solutions that recognize technical, schedule, and cost constraints; identify associated risks and manage mitigation plans
  • Provide higher management with status and decision information on key program issues
  • Ensure contractual needs/concerns are addressed
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of all reports/deliverables
  • Participate in company program reviews
  • Communicate cost, schedule, and performance with management
  • Provide necessary solutions across the spectrum of program management and business operations; mentor lower-level Program Managers
  • Support proposal and pricing efforts as required; may perform Capture Manager duties
  • Other duties as assigned
Education / Training
  • Master’s Degree in technical, business, or related field required
  • Department of Defense Acquisition (DAU) PM certification, PMP, or degree in Program Management or equivalent is preferred
Experience
  • 20+ years of Program Management or associated experience with Government or Industry
  • Must be highly knowledgeable in advanced program management concepts, able to develop, communicate and execute a complete program baseline
  • Must be comfortable developing presentations and briefing senior military leaders.
  • Experience with Air Force nuclear enterprise, aircraft sustainment, and/or maintenance repair and overhaul programs a plus
Security
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance will be required
  • Active Secret clearance preferred

Salary

$130,000 - $160,000

Salary rates for this position are competitive and commensurate with experience and industry standards. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that may include health insurance, paid time off, and retirement savings options.
