Broadcom Inc. in Irvine, California is looking for a Staff Program Manager for Advanced Packaging Technology to oversee major manufacturing projects. This role includes managing the entire lifecycle from factory construction to production ramp.

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree, extensive experience in project management, and a deep understanding of semiconductor technologies. Responsibilities also include ensuring technology qualification and managing complex logistics.

Qualifications

• 6+ years managing very large projects including greenfield factory construction.
• Deep technical understanding of advanced packaging and semiconductor manufacturing technologies.
• Proven track record transitioning a semiconductor facility from construction to high-volume production.

Responsibilities

• Manage large scale Advanced Packaging manufacturing projects throughout their lifecycle.
• Achieve on-time Technology Qualification by collaborating with R&D teams.
• Facilitate successful Technology Transfer into High Volume Manufacturing.
• Oversee tool procurement and integration for next-generation equipment.
• Partner with teams for operational transition from qualification to production.

Project management credentials (PMP, PgMP)

Strong grasp of factory physics

Statistical process control (SPC)

Yield management

Lean manufacturing

Expertise in managing global semiconductor vendors

Advanced mastery of enterprise scheduling tools

Exceptional stakeholder management skills

Education

Master’s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or related STEM field
