Job summary

KIHOMAC seeks a lead Program Manager to direct its largest and most complex engineering and manufacturing program in Layton, UT. You will coordinate with the Government program office and senior leadership to execute a multi-sub-program portfolio while overseeing engineering, finance, contracting and operations.

You must have 20+ years in program management with DoD or industry, and be adept at developing baselines, briefings for senior leaders, and navigating acquisition policy.

Qualifications

  • 20+ years of Program Management or related experience with Government or Industry.
  • Highly knowledgeable in advanced program management concepts, able to develop, communicate and execute a complete program baseline.
  • Comfortable developing presentations and briefing senior military leaders.
  • Experience with Air Force nuclear enterprise, aircraft sustainment, and/or maintenance/repair programs is a plus.

Job description

  • Work directly with company senior leadership on program execution
  • Manage highly complex program with multiple sub-programs and program managers
  • Manage complete program management organization, including engineering, technicians, finance, contracting, purchasing, and associated functions
  • Develop and implement program plans, budgeting positions, schedules, and execution strategy
  • Perform specific, routine program or technical tasks within defined scope of management responsibility
  • Perform program/technical management for assigned system(s)
  • Interpret and apply acquisition policy; develop recommendations to senior leadership on program and business development strategies
  • Apply and correlate knowledge of multiple disciplines (engineering, logistics, financial management, contracting, and configuration management) to achieve cohesive program execution in accordance with assigned cost, schedule & performance requirements
  • Logically and systematically convert customer or product/technical requirements into solutions that recognize technical, schedule, and cost constraints; identify associated risks and manage mitigation plans
  • Provide higher management with status and decision information on key program issues
  • Ensure contractual needs/concerns are addressed
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of all reports/deliverables
  • Participate in company program reviews
  • Communicate cost, schedule, and performance with management
  • Provide necessary solutions across the spectrum of program management and business operations; mentor lower-level Program Managers
  • Support proposal and pricing efforts as required; may perform Capture Manager duties
  • Other duties as assigned
Education/Training:
  • Master’s Degree in technical, business, or related field required
  • Department of Defense Acquisition (DAU) PM certification, PMP, or degree in Program Management or equivalent is preferred
Experience:
  • 20+ years of Program Management or associated experience with Government or Industry
  • Must be highly knowledgeable in advanced program management concepts, able to develop, communicate and execute a complete program baseline
  • Must be comfortable developing presentations and briefing senior military leaders.
  • Experience with Air Force nuclear enterprise, aircraft sustainment, and/or maintenance repair and overhaul programs a plus
Security:
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance will be required
  • Active Secret clearance preferred

Salary:$130,000 - 160,000
