Job summary

Alpha and Omega Semiconductor, Inc is seeking a power electronics engineer to design 800V HVDC power modules, including schematic capture and PCB layout, with cross-functional collaboration.

You will select high-voltage components, optimize efficiency and thermal management, and validate modules through testing to meet performance targets. Candidates should hold MS or PhD in EE and have hands-on lab skills with modern simulation tools.

Qualifications

• MS in Electrical Engineering; PhD preferred.
• Strong knowledge of power conversion topologies, power devices, magnetics, and control loop design.
• Lab skills with oscilloscope, function generator and test equipment.
• Experience with Matlab/Simulink, SIMetrix, PSpice/Ltspice, Ansys.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Circuit and module design for 800V HVDC power modules.
• System integration with other engineering teams for performance and thermal management.
• Component selection for high-voltage circuits emphasizing efficiency and reliability.
• Testing and validation to ensure specifications are met.
