Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience building and operating distributed data-intensive systems.
• Proven cross-functional technical leadership across multiple teams.
• Deep experience in JVM languages (Java/Scala) and event-driven design.
• Hands-on with high-throughput ingestion pipelines and delivery semantics.
• Experience building rules or decisioning systems with deterministic and probabilistic signals.
• Strong API integration skills with third-party services.
• Excellent written communication and RFC experience.
• Comfort with hardware/deployment constraints in physical-world environments.
• Fluency with observability, testing, progressive delivery, and AI tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end architecture across edge ingestion, identity resolution, decisioning, and notifications.
• Drive cross-functional alignment across engineering teams and external partners.
• Evolve high-volume edge-to-cloud streaming pipelines for tail latency and outages.
• Design rules and decisioning layers for real-time actions and gating.
• Establish SLOs, alerting, runbooks, and progressive rollout via feature flags.
• Mentor engineers and elevate AI-native engineering practices.
