Job summary

Google software engineers will tackle cutting-edge Generative AI problems across Retail Ads, Google.com shopping formats, and large-scale systems. You will drive end-to-end solutions from design through deployment, balancing performance, reliability, and user impact.

As part of the WebSearch Formats team, you will influence product strategy, collaborate with Ads, Commerce, and Search, and lead multi-team initiatives to scale AI-powered shopping experiences for billions of users.

Qualifications

• Must have at least a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years in software development with data structures and algorithms.
• 8+ years testing, maintaining, or launching software products; 5+ years in design/architecture.
• 8+ years with ML/AI algorithms and tools; deep learning or modeling.
• 7+ years leading technical project strategy and ML infrastructure.
• 2+ years experience with GenAI (LLMs, vision models) or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Address open-ended problems at the frontier of Generative AI and retail ad products.
• Influence strategy and define technical roadmaps with cross-functional leadership.
• Collaborate with Ads Quality, Commerce, and Search to optimize cross-product areas.
• Own holistic technical architecture and drive multi-quarter, cross-team initiatives.
