Job summary

Samsung Austin Research and Development Center (SARC) seeks a Senior Staff GPU Design Verification Engineer to shape verification for one or more GPU subsystems of the next-generation mobile GPU. You will design, implement, and lead scalable verification environments, applying constrained-random testing and coverage-driven techniques.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in GPU/semiconductor design verification with a Bachelor's in CS/Engineering, or 8+ years with a Master's, or 6+ years with a PhD.
• 8+ years hands-on experience in GPU, CPU, or advanced semiconductor design verification.
• Strong understanding of computer architecture and GPU subsystem design.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++, Python, Perl.
• Strong expertise in SystemVerilog and UVM, including constrained-random testing, functional coverage, and assertions.
• Experience with building configurable UVM testbenches for reuse across design hierarchies.
• Proven track record of achieving multiple first-pass silicon success.
• Excellent debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with proven ability to identify bottlenecks, propose solutions, and execute implementation.

Responsibilities

• Verify one or more GPU subsystems for Samsung's next-generation mobile GPU.
• Develop verification plans, goals, coverage metrics, and sign-off criteria aligned with architectural specifications.
• Architect and implement advanced verification environments and testbenches.
• Collaborate with architecture, design, and software teams; mentor engineers.
