Job summary

Button is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer, Full Stack, to define technical architecture and engineering direction at scale. You will write production code, build PoCs, and drive zero-to-one projects from idea to production, across React, TypeScript, Go, NodeJS, Python, Docker, and AWS.

You will mentor engineers, align roadmaps with product leadership, and raise engineering standards for reliability and performance, within a remote-friendly, national team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years building production systems at scale; still write excellent code and ship.
• End-to-end ownership of zero-to-one products/systems from ideas to production.
• Deep full-stack expertise across UIs, APIs, backend, and data infrastructure; 5+ years in system design across teams.
• Strong fluency in JavaScript/TypeScript (React, NodeJS) and Go; Python for ML/data work.

Responsibilities

• Define full-stack architectures and drive adoption across teams; set standards.
• Stay hands-on; write production code, build proofs of concept, own end-to-end projects.
• Dive into multiple teams and domains; connect architectural dots at company level.
• Own critical technical problems with ambiguity; align teams and deliver against goals.
• Lead ML productionization, deployment, evaluation, and monitoring.
