Job summary

Machinify is hiring a Senior Full-stack Engineer (open to Staff) to join our engineering team. You’ll design and build backend systems and APIs while delivering user-facing features across the stack, using Rust or Java/Scala and collaborating with AI coding agents to ensure quality and scalability.

The role emphasizes deep systems work, end-to-end ownership, and cross-functional collaboration within a fast-growing healthcare tech environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience across frontend and backend
• Proven experience designing and shipping customer-facing web applications
• Experience in Rust, Java, or Scala with strong UI skills
• Ability to write a Technical Design Document (TDD) that stakeholders trust
• Product- and user-driven mindset with focus on outcomes
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with peers and leadership
• Pragmatic default with strong systems instinct
• Hands-on experience with agentic engineering tools in production
• Experience reading and improving complex codebases
• Critical thinking in a high-growth environment
• Comfort with complexity and curiosity to define the path forward
• Nice to have leadership on Rust best practices
• BS or MS in Computer Science (or equivalent)

• Developer Coach/Multiplier—mentor others and elevate programming maturity
• Contribute to new product development of complex in-browser applications
