Our leading brands—TurboTax, Credit Karma, QuickBooks, and Mailchimp—serve over 100 million customers and are recognized for innovation, customer centricity, and being a top workplace.

We are committed to preventing fraud across all consumer lending products and are expanding our Fraud Policy team, which uses cutting-edge AI technology to detect and prevent fraud while minimizing impact on good customers. As a Risk Policy Lead, you will collaborate with Risk Operations, Data Science, Product, Engineering, and Compliance teams to design and implement fraud mitigation strategies. If you are passionate about solving customer problems through decision science and analytics, we invite you to join our talented team.

Responsibilities

This role involves developing fraud risk policies for our innovative consumer lending products, focusing on fraud detection and prevention for new money movement features. You will create end-to-end risk policies, align with cross-functional stakeholders, and manage fraud risk aspects of business initiatives, responding to fraud-related events and demands. Expertise in fraud risk, financial analytics, and innovative risk strategies is essential to support Intuit’s growth, expansion, profitability, and trust-enabled consumer experiences.

  1. Use advanced analytical techniques to analyze large-scale account and transactional data to develop and optimize fraud risk strategies and policies, translating insights into actionable business plans.
  2. Lead the full cycle of risk strategy and policy work, including identifying opportunities, developing and testing policies, launching them into production, and monitoring performance.
  3. Serve as a subject matter expert and point of contact for fraud risk inquiries, optimizing risk mitigation and growth in the money movement offerings.
  4. Collaborate with data scientists, risk operations, product, and data engineering teams to drive customer segmentation, develop innovative risk strategies, and perform portfolio analyses.
  5. Evaluate and recommend third-party data providers to address risks related to stolen identities, account takeover, and other exposures.
  6. Design, implement, and monitor testing methodologies to explore new approaches and estimate key metrics for risk strategies.
  7. Apply good judgment, creative thinking, and strategic insight in decision-making.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Strong business acumen and exceptional analytical skills, with 5-7 years of experience in fraud analysis, prevention, and detection; fintech experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, Data Science, or related fields; MS/PhD with 2+ years of relevant experience is also acceptable.

  • Excellent communication skills, capable of interacting with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and influencing decision-making.
  • Ability to manage complex projects and deliver solutions in a fast-paced environment.
