Job summary

Micron Technology is seeking a Senior/Staff/Principal Engineer in PROCUREMENT and OPERATIONS CENTRAL TEAMS to focus on early maturity phases of new products transitioning to high-volume manufacturing. Role includes collaboration across technology development, manufacturing, supplier engagement, and process optimization.

The position requires 5-7+ years in semiconductor processing, hardware understanding, and experience with Etch/Films/Planarization. International travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Materials Engineering or a related field.
• 5-7+ years experience in troubleshooting, experimental design and data analysis.
• Solid understanding of hardware used for semiconductor processing.
• Experience in manufacturing areas like Etch, Films, or Planarization.
• Solid understanding of SPC and process control.
• Solid understanding of semiconductor metrology, defect analysis, probe/test methods.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Technology Development to align manufacturing roadmap with forward technology path.
• Engage with suppliers to ensure resources meet strategic objectives.
• Improve performance and enable customer qualification for new products.
• Ensure process safety requirements are met with EHSS engineers.
• Develop models for unit process and module level control/road mapping.
• Maintain expertise across multiple process/hardware/technology areas.
• Support module, process and hardware optimization for peers.
• Explore/implement AI workflows, including AI Agents, in current/future processes.
