Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Idaho is seeking a Senior/Staff/Principal Engineer to join the Procurement and Operations Central Teams (PROCT) and Advanced Development Team (ADT).

In the early maturity phase of new products, you will help transition technology to high-volume manufacturing and influence yield, quality and cost. The role requires semiconductor process development/optimization expertise, hardware and supplier management, and understanding of NAND & DRAM integration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field; 5-7+ years experience.
  • Experience troubleshooting, experimental design and data analysis.
  • Solid understanding of hardware used for semiconductor processing (Etch, Films, Planarization) with 5-7+ years in manufacturing.
  • Solid understanding of process control, statistics for engineering, and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Solid understanding of solid-state device physics and process integration.
  • Solid understanding of semiconductor metrology, defect analysis, probe and test methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with TD on future technology requirements and model of record requirements for manufacturing roadmap.
  • Engage with TD and Manufacturing on supplier engagement to meet objectives.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing as new products are introduced to improve performance.
  • Coordinate with EHSS engineers to ensure process safety requirements are met.
  • Work with strategic suppliers to align priorities with operations roadmap.
  • Engage external suppliers/consultants to collect benchmarking data.
  • Develop models for unit process and module level road mapping.
  • Maintain and develop expertise in multiple process, hardware, or technology areas.
  • Support module, process and hardware optimization for peers.
  • Knowledge of AI workflows/LLM/AI Agents and applying them to processes is desired.
