Qualifications

• 5+ years building and maintaining software and compute infrastructure for numerical simulation or large-scale data analysis.
• Strong Python skills with scientific stack (NumPy, SciPy, pandas).
• Own an internal codebase used by engineers or scientists across multiple release cycles.
• Hands-on batch compute at scale with SLURM and/or AWS-based computing, including containers and CI.
• Experience designing data schemas and APIs used by other engineers or scientists.
• Fluency with Linux and modern developer tooling (Git, CI, containers).
• Excellent communication and collaboration across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Own the team's software development and compute environment: reproducible Python environments, containerized workflows, CI/CD, data standards, and versioned releases of modeling packages.
• Operate and scale simulation and analysis workloads across HPC (SLURM) and AWS to run studies at product-relevant scale.
• Design and maintain data schemas and interfaces for devices, measurements, model parameters, and results.
• Build and operate data ingestion, cleaning, and curation pipelines for raw data to trusted inputs for analysis.
• Collaborate with photonics, circuits, and signal-processing engineers to produce robust, reusable tools.
• Integrate AI and agentic tooling into workflows to accelerate development and data analysis.
