Qualifications
- 10+ years of software engineering experience or equivalent
- Demonstrated cross-org technical leadership at consumer scale
- Strong technical judgment and decision-making ability
- Experience delivering on complex, ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives
- Mentorship and collaboration across teams to scale engineering
Responsibilities
- Drive cross-org technical impact with new capabilities
- Set technical direction across org boundaries via RFCs and architecture reviews
- Identify systemic risks and opportunities across multiple teams
- Create engineering patterns and frameworks adopted across the company
- Steward health of multiple systems while balancing short- and long-term goals
- Mentor engineers and help scale Whatnot engineering culture
