Job summary

Gusto is seeking a Sr Staff Software Engineer on the Entity Management team to lead the technical development of a new product that eases compliance for entrepreneurs. You will drive key initiatives, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product, design, and marketing to deliver high-quality solutions.

You will work within a team dedicated to simplifying lifecycle management from incorporation to ongoing compliance, monitoring, and potential dissolution, enabling business owners to focus on

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software development experience, including leading greenfield product development.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, Marketing).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute the technical roadmap for the new product within the team’s scope.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Customer Support, and Marketing to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Mentor engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Develop and optimize the team’s software development processes and technical approaches.
• Lead integration of new functionality into legacy systems to support new customers.
• Serve as a technical leader to design solutions and overcome challenges.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality.
