Job summary

Aspect is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer to architect and build the next generation of our cloud-native SaaS platform. You will combine deep distributed systems expertise with hands-on software development, guiding architecture while working closely with engineering teams to turn design into production systems using React, TypeScript, Node.js, AWS and Kubernetes/EKS.

This role demands leadership, the ability to set engineering standards, and hands-on contribution.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of production software development with ownership of architecture.
• Expertise in designing scalable, cloud-based distributed systems.
• Recent hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Strong production experience with Kubernetes/EKS and cloud-native patterns.
• Ability to mentor engineers and drive architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable, resilient distributed applications in AWS and Kubernetes/EKS.
• Set technical direction for React/TypeScript/Node.js stack, APIs, and microservices.
• Remain hands-on: prototype, review code, troubleshoot production issues.
• Provide staff-level technical leadership across engineering teams.
