Qualifications

• 7+ years backend software development with Java in production
• 7+ years working with relational & non-relational databases and distributed systems
• 7+ years developing data processing and platform solutions with Python, SQL, and cloud data tools
• 7+ years building AWS-based microservices and data pipelines
• 7+ years implementing event-driven architectures with Kafka or Pulsar
• 5+ years designing BI workflows and data visualization pipelines
• 5+ years collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to translate requirements into tech
• 4+ years designing microservices, GraphQL services and REST APIs for data-driven apps

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software components for internal BI tooling and metrics platform
• Implement testing strategies to prevent regressions and ensure data accuracy
• Improve code quality and reliability through refactoring and architectural contributions
• Build and optimize features for scalability, performance, and data access
• Translate business requirements into technical plans with product teams
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers through code reviews and discussions
