Klaviyo is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer for the Customer Agent team to set technical direction and personally architect, deploy, and scale a 0-to-1 conversational AI platform. This in-office role in Boston focuses on autonomous, scalable customer support with complex agent orchestration and safety guardrails.

The candidate will lead architecture discussions, write production-grade code, and mentor senior engineers while collaborating with product, design, data science, and GTM teams to drive

• Architected, built, scaled production agentic systems end-to-end.
• Solved non-deterministic production challenges and defense against prompt injection.
• Led cross-functional technical strategy and shared architectures.
• Hands-on coding, architecture review, and production debugging.
• Excellent technical communication to executives and teams.

Responsabilidades

• Set end-to-end technical direction for the Customer Agent platform.
• Solve complex non-deterministic system problems personally and debug production incidents.
• Architect robust orchestration engines, context memory stores, guardrails and evaluation frameworks.
• Partner with Product, Design, Data Science, and GTM to shape roadmap and vision.
• Build reusable frameworks and mentor senior engineers through design reviews.
• Evaluate frontier AI tech and integrate valuable advances into production.
