Job summary

Google Kirkland, WA, is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer for the Ads Enterprise Platform team. You will drive long-term engineering strategy, own key design decisions, and mentor engineers in a fast-paced setting.

You will work on a cross-channel ads platform based on generative AI, multi-agent systems, model retraining, and collaboration with executives to deliver features for top advertisers and agencies.

Qualifications

8+ years in software development, incl. 5+ years testing/launching products, 3+ years design/architecture.
8+ years of ML design and ML infrastructure (model deployment, evaluation, data processing, debugging, fine-tuning).
Experience with prompt engineering or multi-agent systems.
Experience integrating generative AI tools or LLM interfaces into workflows.

Responsibilities

Drive the long-term engineering strategy, incorporating business priorities and technological shifts, leveraging AI capabilities.
Own key technical decisions based on expertise to guide design tradeoffs.
Improve organizational health by investing to remove productivity barriers.
Work cross-functionally to align and reuse across Ads platforms for overall benefit.
Grow next-generation technical leaders through coaching and scalable mentorship.
