Job summary

Google is seeking a Senior Staff Software Engineer for the Ads Enterprise Platform Team in Kirkland, WA. You will own long-term engineering strategy, make critical technical decisions, and lead efforts to scale our cross-channel ads platform built around generative AI technologies.

The role emphasizes solving ambiguous problems with influence across stakeholders, while driving AI-driven innovations and model-driven improvements in a large-scale environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development, including 5 years of testing and launching software products, and 3 years in design/architecture.
• 8 years of experience with ML design and ML infrastructure (deployment, evaluation, data processing, debugging, and fine-tuning).
• Experience with prompt engineering or multi-agent systems.
• Experience integrating generative AI tools or large language model (LLM) interfaces into workflows.

Responsibilities

• Drive the long-term engineering strategy, incorporating organizational priorities and AI shifts.
• Own key technical decisions guiding the team through important design tradeoffs.
• Improve the organization's technical health by removing barriers to productivity.
• Work cross-functionally to align across Ads platforms while supporting overall business goals.
