Job summary

Renesas Electronics seeks a senior Analog IC designer to join the Rad Hard Precision Design Group in either RTP, NC or Palm Bay, FL. You will design high-precision analog and mixed-signal ICs for space applications, including references, regulators, LDOs, and comparators, using Cadence and MATLAB.

Role requires a track record in precision analog design, strong collaboration, and the ability to manage timelines from concept to production.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in analog/mixed-signal IC design in precision analog and power management.
  • Experience delivering high-quality designs on time.
  • Knowledge of bipolar, BiCMOS, and BCD processes.
  • Experience with radiation-hardened products is highly desirable.
  • MSEE with 6+ years or PhD with 4+ years of relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to all aspects of development from product conception to production.
  • Apply your in-depth understanding of analog design concepts to design innovative analog products and create clear design documentation.
  • Collaborate with team members to define macro specifications, interfaces and physical implementation.
  • Manage the design timeline to achieve the schedule objectives.
  • Assist in silicon evaluation, circuit debugging, production test development, customer and applications support.
  • Review and provide feedback on technical documentation prepared by team members to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to engineering standards.
  • Experience in analog integrated circuit design, analysis and simulation.
  • Experience with radiation hardened products is highly desirable.
  • Design Experience in high precision analog integrated circuit design – amplifiers, comparators, regulators, oscillators and references.
  • Experience with Cadence tools for analog design and mixed signal simulations
  • Experience with lab equipment and silicon validation techniques.
  • Strong Communication and Teamwork Skills required

The Rad Hard Precision Design Group is seeking a senior level Analog IC designer to join the team in either the Research Triangle Park, NC or the Palm Bay, FL locations. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of designing Analog and mixed signal ICs in Precision Analog and Power Management applications. As a design team member, you will be asked to design innovative, high performance, highly profitable products targeted toward Space markets. Integrated circuits designed in this group will include high accuracy references, high speed comparators, accurate temperature sensors, low power op-amps, LDO’s and more.
