Job summary

Renesas Electronics seeks Senior Analog IC designers to join our Rad Hard IC design team in RTP, NC or PB, FL. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in Analog/mixed-signal design for precision analog and power management applications, including space-grade devices.

You will participate in product definition, design power management blocks, perform transistor-level design, and drive programs from concept to production, collaborating across multiple functions.

Qualifications

  • Thorough understanding of integrated analog circuit design.
  • Thorough understanding of bipolar, BiCMOS, and BCD process technologies.
  • Thorough understanding of large power transistor design, layout, and robustness.
  • Thorough understanding of switch-mode power conversion topologies and control methods.
  • Experience with Cadence tools for analog design and mixed signal simulations.
  • Experience with behavioral top-level modeling and mixed signal verification.
  • Experience with radiation-hardened power management products desirable.
  • Experience with gate driver techniques and control systems.
  • 10+ years (MSEE) or 8+ years (PhD) or 15+ years (BSEE) relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in product definition with marketing, applications, and customers.
  • Apply deep understanding of power process technologies to design power management products.
  • Transistor level design of mixed-signal circuits for new and derivative products.
  • Manage programs to achieve schedule objectives.
  • Validate and debug products before transfer to production engineering.

Seeking Senior Level Analog IC designers to join our Rad Hard IC design team in RTP, NC or PB, FL. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of designing Analog and mixed signal IC in Precision Analog and Power Management applications. As a design team member, you will be asked to design innovative, high performance, highly profitable products targeted toward Space markets. Integrated circuits designed in this group will include state of the art ultra-low quiescent current 40V to 100V DC-DC switching converters, LDO's, multi-function power management circuits.

Job Description
  • Participate in product definition working with marketing, applications, and customers.
  • Apply your in-depth understanding of power process technologies, both existing and those under development, to design innovative power management products.
  • Transistor level design of mixed-signal circuits for new and derivative power management products.
  • Responsibility for managing program to achieve schedule objectives.
  • Validation and debugging the products before transferring to production engineering.
  • Interface with process, test, product, application, and marketing managers and engineers to successfully bring new products from initial concept through release to production.
Qualifications
  • Thorough understanding of integrated analog circuit design.
  • Thorough understanding of bipolar, BiCMOS, and BCD process technologies and circuit design techniques.
  • Thorough understanding of large power transistor (bipolar and DMOS) design, layout, and robustness.
  • Thorough understanding of various switch-mode power conversion topologies (BOOST & BUCK, various control methods, multiple-phase current sharing, etc.).
  • Experienced with Cadence tools for analog design and mixed signal simulations
  • Experience with behavioral top-level modeling and mixed signal verification methodology.
  • Experience with analog/digital interfaces and digital buses.
  • Experience with Radiation Hardened power management products highly desirable
  • Experience with gate driver techniques -Understanding of control systems.
  • Highly self-motivated and adaptable.
  • MSEE with 10+ years or PhD with 8+ years (or BSEE with 15+ years) of relevant industry experience with a strong background in analog design and a proven record of successfully released Power Management products.
