Job summary

Realtor.com is seeking a Senior Staff DevOps Engineer to join our CI/CD Platform team in Austin, TX. You will shape architectures for self-service CI/CD and cloud-native runtimes, scale AWS and Kubernetes, and drive secure, scalable software delivery across engineering.

You’ll mentor engineers, define standards, lead RFCs, and partner with Security, Infra, and Engineering to improve reliability and cost efficiency. Experience with CircleCI, ArgoCD, Istio, and Terraform is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in infrastructure automation, platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, or distributed systems.
• 5+ years building production Amazon EKS environments across multi-cluster/topologies.
• 3+ years designing, operating Istio or a service-mesh platform, including traffic management.
• Proven experience leading technical initiatives across a large engineering organization.
• Standards development and driving developer enablement.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical architecture and long-term design patterns for a self-service CI/CD platform and cloud-native runtime environments used across engineering.
• Define practical standards for delivery, infrastructure, reliability, and platform operations while balancing developer autonomy with guardrails.
• Lead architecture reviews, author RFCs, and align across Engineering, Security, and Infrastructure partners.
• Use operational data and feedback to sequence platform investments that improve delivery velocity, reliability, security, and cost efficiency.
