Job summary

Realtor.com is seeking a Senior Staff DevOps Engineer to lead the CI/CD Platform team and shape the cloud-native infrastructure used by engineering. You’ll scale AWS EKS environments, define platform standards, and guide secure, reliable deployments across multiple clusters and regions.

You’ll mentor senior engineers, influence architecture without formal authority, and drive adoption of GitOps, CircleCI, ArgoCD, Terraform, and Kubernetes tooling to improve developer experience and delivery

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in infrastructure automation, platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, or distributed systems.
5+ years building and troubleshooting production Amazon EKS environments across multi-cluster/topologies.
3+ years designing and operating Istio or equivalent service mesh with traffic management and security.
Proven experience leading technical initiatives across large engineering orgs, influencing 200+ engineers.
Standards development, reusable platform capabilities, and practical developer enablement.

Responsibilities

Own architectural patterns for a self-service CI/CD platform and cloud-native runtimes used across engineering.
Define standards for delivery, infrastructure, reliability, and platform operations with guardrails.
Lead architecture reviews, author RFCs, and align across Eng, Security, and Infra teams.
Scale AWS EKS, Istio service-mesh patterns, and secure deployments with canary releases and disaster recovery.
