Capital One is seeking a Sr. Staff Data Engineer (Remote-Eligible) to lead data platform strategy, architecture, and end-to-end data projects.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and leaders to drive scalable, governed data solutions across the enterprise. You will specialize in AWS, Spark, Snowflake, Databricks, and streaming data while advancing the data governance and platform excellence culture within Capital One Tech.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field.
• 9+ years in data engineering with 5+ years in data architecture.
• 3+ years building apps in AWS and 7+ years programming (Python/Java/Scala).
• Experience designing end-to-end data pipelines and data models.

Responsabilidades

• Lead technical strategy for data pipelines and sharing capabilities.
• Mentor engineers and recruit external talent to bolster Capital One Tech.
• Own end-to-end design of critical data projects and set architectural standards.
• Communicate with stakeholders and drive adoption of modern data tech.
• Advance data governance, platform scalability, and observability.
